NAVTEQ Extends Map Coverage for Wayfinder |

NAVTEQ, a global provider of digital maps for vehicle navigation and location-based solutions, has announced that it will be extending its map coverage offerings for Wayfinder’s mobile applications.
Previously, Wayfinder used NAVTEQ maps in Russia, Singapore, Australia, Middle East and South Africa for the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet which has a map application pre-installed by Wayfinder.
With the new agreement, NAVTEQ will be also supplying maps of Australia and New Zealand.
“We need to have access to the most up to date map possible,” said Magnus Nilsson, CEO of Wayfinder,
“…NAVTEQ has the processes and resources in place to fulfill that requirement. Consequently we will be able to provide our customers with current, fresh data so the traveler can just relax and enjoy the trip!”
Wayfinder is a Swedish based provider of GPS location and navigation services for connected mobile devices. It has some 100 employees and offices in Sweden, Finland, Romania, France, Spain, Germany and the UK. |
